Theme Thursdays [Emotion] – 14Apr11

Theme Thursdays

Yes, I got a new badge.. designed by a dear friend ‘RG’. Hope you like it. Let me know if you have suggestions for improvement and please grab it. Pretty Please!!!!

Theme Thursdays is a fun weekly event that will be open from one thursday to the next. Anyone can participate in it. The rules are simple:

  • A theme will be posted each week (on Thursday’s)
  • Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading
  • Mention the author and the title of the book along with your post
  • It is important that the theme is conveyed in the sentence (you don’t necessarily need to have the word)
Ex: If the theme is KISS; your sentence can have “They kissed so gently” or “Their lips touched each other” or “The smooch was so passionate”

This will give us a wonderful opportunity to explore and understand different writing styles and descriptive approaches adopted by authors.

The randomly selected theme for this week is suggested by Sharon from Books to the Ceiling.

And this week’s theme is ……..

EMOTION

My THURSDAY THEME for EMOTION is below; and I really loved this theme.

What had frightened him so at the kitchen door? And was it really fear I had seen in his face?
Yes, there seemed little doubt of that. There was nothing else it could have been. I was already far too familiar with his anger, his impatience, his fatigue, his sudden beak moods: all of them states which drifted now and then across his face like the shadows of the clouds that moved across our English hills.
Taken from page 18 – “The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie” by “Alan Bradley”
