Theme Thursdays [Pathways] – 11Aug11

Theme Thursdays

Theme Thursdays is a fun weekly event that will be open from one thursday to the next. Anyone can participate in it. The rules are simple:

  • A theme will be posted each week (on Thursday’s)
  • Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading
  • Mention the author and the title of the book along with your post
  • It is important that the theme is conveyed in the sentence (you don’t necessarily need to have the word)
Ex: If the theme is KISS; your sentence can have “They kissed so gently” or “Their lips touched each other” or “The smooch was so passionate”

This will give us a wonderful opportunity to explore and understand different writing styles and descriptive approaches adopted by authors.

This week’s theme is

PATHWAYS (reference to roads, streets, passages)

Sorry, I have been down the whole of last week and did not get to leave a comment on your theme thursday snippets for location. I however read them all on my iPhone and enjoyed it as always (though I am still naive about commenting from the device). PS: I will get setting up a Linky list soon for this meme and the fun will only get better.

My THURSDAY THEME for PATHWAYS is here.

She stopped at the circle in the forest where individual paths branched off to cabins. She looked at a small map sketched by Lucinda. The paths, like spokes in a wheel, led to Cabins 1 through 8.

  6. I really like your snippet, nice description..
Am only reading a German book at the moment and I am not too sure if it would make sense to post a location this week. I hope to be back to reading an English book by next week’s TT.. See you soon (and hope you’re feeling better!)

  7. I like Carolyn Hart. I like the description of “spokes.”
