Theme Thursdays [Feelings] – 15Sep11

Theme Thursdays

Theme Thursdays is a fun weekly event that will be open from one thursday to the next. Anyone can participate in it. The rules are simple:

  • A theme will be posted each week (on Thursday’s)
  • Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading
  • Mention the author and the title of the book along with your post
  • It is important that the theme is conveyed in the sentence (you don’t necessarily need to have the word)
Ex: If the theme is KISS; your sentence can have “They kissed so gently” or “Their lips touched each other” or “The smooch was so passionate”

This will give us a wonderful opportunity to explore and understand different writing styles and descriptive approaches adopted by authors.

I have been busy preparing for my daughter’s first birthday. She turns one this Saturday and all I remember doing in the last one month is plan for the party. My house is a mess filled with party favors, decorations and what not. The work never seems to get over, but I am excited, nervous and exhausted all at the same time. So this week’s theme is

FEELING (Happiness, sadness, surprise, etc )

My THURSDAY THEME for FEELING is here. I have not been reading as much this week, so sorry about the repetition from the same book.

“Ricky was happy. Happy at school, happy to be coming back home for the weekend.”

  1. That’s a nice cheerful snippet – lots of ‘happy’. :-)

Happy Birthday to your little daughter and have a wonderful party.

  2. Happy Birthday to your big girl. One is such a fun birthday! I can remember my children’s faces. They had no clue what was going on but were filled with happiness and chocolate cake. It was a tradition the first bite of chocolate was a cupcake all their own on their first birthday.
I hope her birthday is overflowing with love and happiness.for both of you.

My snippet runs by a few emotions but it is a said one. http://www.alaskanbookcafe.com/

  5. Even though my pc is acting up, and I couldn’t add a cover pic for some weird reason, I still got the post up… LOL
