Theme Thursdays [Mirror] – 09Aug12

Theme Thursdays

Theme Thursdays is a fun weekly event that will be open from one thursday to the next. Anyone can participate in it. The rules are simple:

  • A theme will be posted each week (on Thursday’s)
  • Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading
  • Mention the author and the title of the book along with your post
  • It is important that the theme is conveyed in the sentence (you don’t necessarily need to have the word)
Ex: If the theme is KISS; your sentence can have “They kissed so gently” or “Their lips touched each other” or “The smooch was so passionate”

This will give us a wonderful opportunity to explore and understand different writing styles and descriptive approaches adopted by authors.

The theme for this week is

MIRROR Glasses, Spectacles etc

She had already set out a small feast on the mirror-topped coffee table that Laurel had discovered years earlier at a yard-sale.

  1. I had a table like that once too… but the mirror broke, so the table got tossed.

  2. I had a mirror-topped coffee table for a few years…it was often covered with finger prints!

  3. A mirror-topped coffee table…to make it look like you have more coffee than you do. 🙂 Here’s my Thursday Theme.

  4. Luckily, I’m reading a novel about a land where all the walls are made of glass. Here’s mine: http://xingu2.wordpress.com/2012/08/09/theme-thursday-mirror/
