Theme Thursdays [Ending] – 28Mar12

Theme Thursdays

Theme Thursdays is a fun weekly event that will be open from one thursday to the next. Anyone can participate in it. The rules are simple:

  • A theme will be posted each week (on Thursday’s)
  • Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading
  • Mention the author and the title of the book along with your post
  • It is important that the theme is conveyed in the sentence (you don’t necessarily need to have the word)
Ex: If the theme is KISS; your sentence can have “They kissed so gently” or “Their lips touched each other” or “The smooch was so passionate”

This will give us a wonderful opportunity to explore and understand different writing styles and descriptive approaches adopted by authors.

March is going to be all about making life easy. This month we will do ‘Pick what you see first‘ themes.

Pick the last sentence from the last page of the book. Yes, the very last sentence. I am assuming it would be mostly ‘Happily ever after’ but lets see how books end.

ENDING – Last sentence from the last page of the book.

I’m the Mother with the Fabbest Baby in the World. And we’re going to have a blast. I know it.

  1. I love this week’s theme! The ending sentences always have to have the most punch while tying the story up. And, if it is a series, have the reader beginning for more! Love this idea!!

On that note, awesome ending for your book. After talking to some people who read the first book, I bet this one is a riot!

  5. Apologies for my not-so-cheerful snippet… but considering the book, I’m not that surprised.

  6. I’m late this week cause I wanted to finish the book first 🙂
