Theme Thursdays [Know] – 12Jan12

Theme Thursdays

Theme Thursdays is a fun weekly event that will be open from one thursday to the next. Anyone can participate in it. The rules are simple:

  • A theme will be posted each week (on Thursday’s)
  • Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading
  • Mention the author and the title of the book along with your post
  • It is important that the theme is conveyed in the sentence (you don’t necessarily need to have the word)
Ex: If the theme is KISS; your sentence can have “They kissed so gently” or “Their lips touched each other” or “The smooch was so passionate”

This will give us a wonderful opportunity to explore and understand different writing styles and descriptive approaches adopted by authors.

Am down with some terrible viral infection for the past week. I literally had to crawl out of bed to get this post up… and probably will have a lot of back-dated posts today as well. Sorry am late. Hope you are all doing great.

KNOW (aware, knowing, realize etc)

They all knew it, anyway.

[and one more snippet…]

Of course, he’d been invited back, and as time had passed, he began to realize that the blue-eyed guardian of the gates was right, in her way.

  3. I had a hard time finding mine this week (and was confused at first–I read it as “NOW” instead of “KNOW”)….but now that I found it, I think it’s a good one. Hope you like it.

    And–Hope you feel better soon!
