Book Blogger Hop: 7/29-8/1 & The Friday 56 – Week 37 & Cover Art Weekend Blog Hop #11

Book Blogger Hop

“Highlight one book you have received this week (for review, from the library, purchased at the store, etc.) that you can’t wait to dig into!”

This week I picked ‘The Sugar Queen’ by Sarah Addison Allen from the library. I have been waiting on this for a while so I am thrilled about it. I loved the book and just have another 50 pages of it.

Friday 56 This is another fun meme.

Friday 56 is hosted by Freda’s voice.

My Friday 56 is obviously from “The Sugar Queen” by Sarah Addison Allen.

Chloe suddenly smiled. “Oh, I know! You’re Cirrini, Josey Cirrini. There’s a portrait of you and your father in the lobby of the ski lodge. I see it every time I go there.”

There are multiple covers designed for this book I am reading now and I love each and every one of them. But for this week I am just going to showcase the cover that is in the book I am holding.

  1. She must have a recognizable face. I wonder they story around her photo though.
    Thanks for participating!

  2. I’ve seen a lot of interesting shirts on the different blogs. With the non-stop coverage of debt ceiling doomsday I’ve got to show you the t-shirt that describes me to a tee – at least this week! Follow me back to my blog and prepare to fall out of your chair laughing – http://www.howardsherman.net

We’ve just gotta laugh, right? Life’s too short after all!

    Thank God it’s Follow Friday!

  3. It’s so hard to resist those books you’ve been waiting so long for. I have a couple that I sought out and found at my local second hand store. Still, they sit on my shelf waiting as I am trying to shrink my TBR pile. They are a daily reminder to me of the anticipation. 🙂

    Here’s mine: Can’t Wait

  4. This week I picked up at the store “Ultra Violet” by Nancy Bush, that I am wanting to read soon.

I think the cover art on Sugar Queen book is lovely.

  5. I’ve posted a picture of an adorable baby pickle. It’s an illustration from the book I’m highlighting. Please come see what book I’m reading!

  6. Beautiful cover! Thanks for participating!

  7. that cover is lovely!

  8. Makes me want to find out what The Sugar Queen is about! 🙂

  9. I’m seeing a lot of single answer responses with Twilight being by far the most popular choice. I really must analyze all the elements of that series that send girls ga-ga. Such studies are a part of the never-ending “code breaking” we males need to continuously execute to understand and relate with the fairer sex.

I’ve cracked about 80% of the code. I will continue cracking the code until I reach 100% success. Then I’ll write a book for men and become a billionaire overnight.

I’ve got four different series I can read over and over again. Three of them were written by deceased authors and three of them are fantasy adventures.

Follow me back to my blog at http://www.howardsherman.net and find out how far off the beaten track I’ve gone with my favorite book series!

    Thank God it’s Follow Friday!

  10. I loved this week’s question! I’ve made so many friends in the book blog world and am really impressed with so many blogs it was hard to hunker down and make a choice.

But I did it! I’m shining the spotlight on a Jersey girl! Hop on over to my blog at http://www.howardsherman.net to find out who she is and discover her amazing book blog.
