June 25-28 : Book Blogger Hop

Time for the book blogger hop. This is an event hosted by Jennifer from Crazy for Books. I have been pretty lazy for the last few Fridays so I am glad I get to hop around at least today.

The other meme I participate in is the Friday 56. This meme is hosted by http://storytimewithtonya.blogspot.com/

Grab the book nearest you. Right now
– Turn to page 56.
– Find the fifth sentence.
– Post that sentence (plus one or two others if you like) along with these instructions on your blog or (if you do not have your own blog) in the comments section of this blog.
– Post a link along with your post back to this blog.
– Don’t dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.

This is from James Patterson and Peter De Jonge’s “Beach Road”

It’s about four, still plenty of light outside, and a black sedan is parked on the gravel driveway.
At the door is young master Van Buren, the detective who ran the show on the beach the other night.
