June 4-7 : Book Blogger Hop

Yae! Time for the book blogger hop. This is an event hosted by Jennifer from Crazy for Books and it is one of the joys of friday 🙂 I am not adding any new blogs to my google reader today as I already have a lot of catching up to do with the blogs I so lovingly follow. Hopefully next week I will be back in form.

*****************************************************************
The other meme I participate in is the Friday 56. This meme is hosted by http://storytimewithtonya.blogspot.com/

Grab the book nearest you. Right now
– Turn to page 56.
– Find the fifth sentence.
– Post that sentence (plus one or two others if you like) along with these instructions on your blog or (if you do not have your own blog) in the comments section of this blog.
– Post a link along with your post back to this blog.
– Don’t dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.

This is from Lisa Gardner’s “Hide”

She didn’t scream. Didn’t yell. In fact, I think what finally alerted me was the silence, the total utter silence, compared to the usual white noise of my mother puttering around the tiny apartment, folding laundry, banging pans, opening and shutting cupboard doors.
