Friday 56 – A Magick Life

I happened to stumble upon another great blog today – http://storytimewithtonya.blogspot.com/ and decided to participate in the weekly meme – Friday 56 – A Magick Life. Oh, I love Fridays (as if we needed any more reasons to love it)

The rules as stated are:

  • Grab the book nearest you. Right now.
  • Turn to page 56.
  • Find the fifth sentence.
  • Post that sentence (plus one or two others if you like) along with these instructions on your blog or (if you do not have your own blog) in the comments section of this blog.
  • Post a link along with your post back to this blog.
  • Don’t dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.

“It’s still August. Don’t jump the gun.”
Mary flashed on what Anthony had said about showing initiative, but it turned out that initiative was overrated. Still, she deserved the promotion, even if she wasn’t jerky enough to say so. “I’d like to know more about what you’re thinking about it and ——”

  1. I have not read one of these in a long while, love Lisa Scottoline though and the character of long suffering Mary is one of my faves…
